BelAir Networks Named Wi-Fi Mesh Market Leader by Dell'Oro Group
Dell’ (News - Alert)Oro Group has named BelAir Networks the worldwide wireless mesh node market leader in their Q1 2008 Wireless LAN
quarterly report. This designation is the result of the company's revenue for the third consecutive quarter.
Founded in 2002, and based in Ontario Canada, BelAir Networks, is a provider of mobile broadband mesh networks that are proven and cost effective. They deliver carrier-grade technology in a market typically associated with enterprise-grade products. The Company has maintained its leadership position for units shipped in the first quarter of 2008.
BelAir’s success is driven by Cable Operators, Telcos, and Security Service Providers. Their public safety networks, municipal networks, port security, mass transit and ITS installations, hotel and venue networks, defense applications, and industrial plant deployments around the world have also been moving very fast in the market.
The company’s portfolio includes the four-radio BelAir200 Wireless Multi-service Switch Router, the BelAir200D for Defense applications, the three-radio BelAir100T Wireless Mesh Node, the BelAir100M Mobile Mesh Node, and more.
Also, the company notes they were the first to offer scalable, mobile wireless broadband mesh networking solutions with the highest quality for video, voice and data. And, driven by the BelAirOS operating system software and managed by BelViewNMS, have notes the highest capacity, lowest latency and fastest roaming
speeds.
BelAir’s wireless networking solutions are built on the only multi-service architecture for Wi-Fi, WiMAX
, 4.9 GHz, 5.9 GHz and 4.4 GHz spectrum bands.
BelAir Networks wireless mesh nodes have been deployed by ADT Security Services, to support a video security network throughout the 15 square miles that comprise the Port of Richmond’s perimeter and facilities. They are also currently deploying BelAir nodes for a public safety network in the City of Richmond, California.

450 of the company’s mobile broadband mesh network solutions are being used around Minneapolis, St. Louis, San Antonio, London, Toronto, Lincoln Center in New York and Dolphin Stadium. They are also deployed in mission-critical Defense applications including the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center.
